A while back I posted on a new system that set in motion by the Kingdom to curb traffic violations and restore some order on the streets. The system called Sahar consists of license plate recognition software that ticketed speedsters people cutting the light. Ever since its implementation, things have slowly gotten better. Amusingly, I think the crazy rumors are fueling people fears and are doing more to restore order than the actual Sahar system.

Now, not everyone enjoys Big Brother watching from above or the fact they now have to abide to something called law and order. Hence, some pretty innovative schemes have been born.

1. My friend had his plates stolen! The thief probably installed them on his car to go joy riding on someone else’s expense.

2. “What does Sahar have on us” ….. lol 3.  My personal favorite!

On a more serious note, a Saudi artists put together a moving video regarding the daily horrors on the roads of Riyadh. It is a must see!
