I was going through some of my older posts and just realized that I have more food articles than well articles. What can I say, there is that many restaurants in Riyadh. I have yet to find a Panda Express or an all you can eat Chinese buffet (Rochester style for all Michiganders). Fast food Chinese is terrible here and the restaurants are amazing, but, there is no middle ground! The same goes for Sushi. There...

This past weekend (yeaaa ... weekends here are Thursdays and Fridays) I was invited out for dinner at the Intercontinental Hotel, and who could deny an offer like that. Apparently, the Intercontinental offers a different open buffet theme for everyday of the week, and Thursday happened to be sea food! When we walked in we were greeted by a waiter dressed as a sailor and took us to our table at a balcony outside. As we...

This past Wednesday a bunch of friends and I decided to try the local Johnny Rockets. I've walked past this restaurant countless times back home at the Great Lakes Crossing Mall, but never thought to step in. Sorry, take out chinese was much more tempting. So when it opened...

As for the most of the restaurants that I visit in Riyadh, this one was recommended to me by Ziad (my food guru). Since its only my dad and I living the bachelor life (well me at least), he tends to do the majority of  cooking at home (and a damn good chef at it too). But there is only so many times you can eat at home. So every Thursday we eat out. I decided to...

Food Lounge

"An empty belly is the best cook" Ask anyone that knows me to describe me in two words and you'll probably hear food and tech in the same sentence. I once jokingly told a friend of mine that my ambition to become a doctor is to make enough money to fly around the world and try a new dish everyday. That dream is coming along one step at a time, I have been blessed to travel...
